HypnoBirthing®
The Mongan Method

Are you ready to have an amazing, beautiful, manageable birth?

HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method can help you achieve an easier, faster and more comfortable birth without unnecessary interventions.

"When you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change."-Marie Mongan

What is HypnoBirthing®

HypnoBirthing® is based on the premise that birth is a natural, normal and healthy human experience. It is based on the belief that when fear and tension are removed, the mother is prepared and trusts her birthing body; then severe discomfort does not need to be a natural accompaniment of the birthing experience. HypnoBirthing® is a full comprehensive antenatal course that combines education, deep focused relaxation, visualizations, breathing techniques and self-hypnosis, to prepare the birthing couple for an easier, more comfortable and manageable birth; that 95% of women CAN achieve. HypnoBirthing® is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. HypnoBirthing® provides the tools that allow the mother to fully trust in her body to birth in the way nature intended. Helping her realize birth isn’t something to fear, but that rather, it can be one of the most empowering and wonderful experiences of her life. HypnoBirthing® was created by Marie “Mickey” Mongan a highly awarded hypnotherapist and Harvard University Ford Foundation fellow.

How does HypnoBirthing® Work?

HypnoBirthing ® teaches you how to enter into a deeply relaxed state, where you are able to release all fear and tension. Without this fear and tension your body is able to function properly as nature intended, and you are able to birth your baby comfortably and easily.

HypnoBirthing® believes the birthing partner/companion is an integral part of the birthing and not just an onlooker.

HypnoBirthing® is not only for first time mothers, if you did not have the birthing experience that you wanted first, or even second time round then HypnoBirthing® is for you.

You can start a HypnoBirthing® Antenatal Course anytime after your 20 week scan, generally up until 34 weeks. However if you are past 34 weeks, contact me and I will gladly assist.
